Oracle Machine Learning is now a free feature in Oracle Databases (on-premises, Cloud and Autonomous). As part of Oracle’s Converged Database strategy, OML “moves the algorithms; not data” processing data where it resides. Oracle Machine Learning extends Oracle Database(s) delivering 30+ ML algorithms and AutoML functionality via SQL (OML4SQL) and integration with open source languages: Python, OML4Py and R, OML4R. This OML presentation and demonstration(s) highlights existing and new OML features: AutoML, AutoML UI, new algorithms in 21c, OML4Py and OML Services. Now Oracle DBAs, users and application developers can leverage OML’s ML algorithms to discover new insights, make predictions and deploy ML models enterprise-wide via APEX, Oracle Analytics Cloud and embedded in Applications. Come learn how to get started taking immediate advantage of these free and powerful in-database ML capabilities.
In 2014, the Department of Health asked the NHSBSA to help save £1 billion by 2018.
The NHSBSA established the Data Analytics Learning Laboratory (DALL) with the mission to improve the Department of Health’s insight through analytics and help eliminate waste from NHS systems and services.
Our analytics initiatives focus on business problems, for example, understanding patient journeys, how customers interact with the NHSBSA, and identifying potential error and loss in our data. While NHSBSA has successfully identified over $1.6 GBP of potential savings, they have also learned many lessons dealing with DALL staffing, skills acquisition, training, data availability and quality, raising the bar in analytics/ML, and working with senior management.
Come hear from those who have lived the life and are willing to share their experiences and six lessons learned.
UI, Notebook, SQL, R, Python, take a course, read a book, work with a consultant, or hire a data scientist? What is the best way to get started with Oracle Machine Learning? Depending on your data skills, ML knowledge, use case(s), deployment requirements, and personal preferences, you may embark on one journey or another. After you get going, what is the best way to accelerate your ML successes in both the near term and the long term? Listen to ML experts as they share their recommendations, experiences, and insights. We might even have some different points of view!

Covid brought about a new set of challenges for the entire world and this session describes how we used the Oracle ADW and Oracle Analytics Cloud to analyze and interpret self-reported symptom data. This is a new class of applications that came about to track Covid symptoms through self-reporting and the session talks about making sense of participant behavior and symptom profiles while dealing with event streams with sparsity.
Join us for an exciting sneak preview of the new Graph Studio in Oracle Autonomous Database, soon to be released! From detecting fraud to understanding manufacturing workflows, graphs can be a powerful tool for your analytics toolkit. Even if you are new to graphs, it is easier and faster than ever to start using your data management platform as a fully automated graph database. We’ll show a quick demo of new visual tools that let you model relational data as a graph, run graph queries and analytics, use notebooks, and visualize graphs.
East Kentucky Power Coop recently migrated from Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) to Oracle Analytic Server (OAS). They wanted to capitalize on the investment in their existing data warehouse, dashboards, and reports while being able to explore the data in new ways using the new ad-hoc and data visualization capabilities in the Oracle Analytics Server platform.
Come to this session to learn what came across and what was left behind. What dashboards were “fine as is”, and which ones are to be replaced with designs based on Data Visualization? What plans do they have for rolling out these new capabilities to a diverse user community and how do they plan on supporting that community?
Learn about the new Oracle Analytics Mobile Application and how insights into your data are in your pocket! Your needed information is automatically delivered to you and you can also use voice commands to retrieve even more insights!
Instruct the app to bring back your information at a time and place of your choosing and learn how the integration of ML and AI is delivered throughout the application. Start your day with a personalized ‘smart feed’ of analytics that helps you make better decisions – day by day!
